Veils And Headdresses

01 Jun, 2009

You may choose to go with a grand tiara and full length veil, or a simple scattering of flowers on your head. Either way it will of course depend on your dress style, wedding theme, time of day, and your own personal taste. Make sure your hairstyle can take whatever headdress you choose. Consult with your hairdresser as soon as headdress and veil are confirmed.

Veils can range from very short (just covering the eyes and a pillbox hate a la the 1940’s) to shoulder length, to three-quarter, to floor, to longer! Again, consistency with the theme and style of dress is your aim.  Although tradition had it that the bride was to walk down the aisle hidden under her veil, which her father lifts over her head as he delivers her to her husband, this is not imperative these days.
