A hall where catering and deaccor are already supplied is usually a better option as this will take the stress of worrying about caterers and making a plain hall look good, out of the equation. Although it may seem expensive, when all other costs are added up, it should also be the cheaper option.

Outdoor Weddings

Outdoor weddings are romantic and rustic and very popular these days. However the weather does not always play along. Make sure your outdoor venue has a covered area to move to should the weather turn nasty. If you are way out in a forest location with no building nearby, then consider putting up a large tent. It is worth the expense to alleviate your stress load on the day.

If you plan an outdoor wedding, keep the terrain in mind when choosing your wedding dress, veil and shoes. A long train may not be a good idea on forest foliage or even lawn. Loose sling-back shoes may be difficult to walk in on uneven ground. One could consider an aisle runner, but in windy conditions this could easily be swept up in a gust. Discuss the light with your photographer and make-up artist. Certain make-up options do not photograph well in sunlight, and a dappled forest light will bring specific challenges to your make-up artist and photographer.
